Axles Driver Training specialise in Active Learning - But what is Active Learning?
Active Learning is the opposite of just being “lectured to”. Active learning invites the student to participate and contribute to their own learning process thus ensuring a much greater level of commitment and understanding.
I hear, I forget; I see, I learn; I do, I understand.
In the context of driving an Active learning approach stimulates the learner to take more responsibility for their learning. It will also encourage them to become a “thinking driver”. They will be encouraged to reflect on situations and mistakes and encouraged to work out for themselves what they could do better next time.
